Every school holiday period, zedChess runs a program of chess 
activities for primary to early secondary aged children.

Activities include:

• Chess tournaments
• Chess lessons
• Chess stories and history
• Simultaneous exhibitions
• Transfer chess, Suicide Chess, Snowball Chess
• Team challenges
• Outdoor Games

There are many prizes to be won, including glass chess sets, magnetic 
sets and at least 30 other prizes from the prize box!

The emphasis is on having fun, socialising and playing chess against 
children from other schools. 

For the serious chess player, there is always plenty to learn about 
tricks and traps, combinations, sacrifices, and there will be challenging 
opponents to provide some tough games.

The proposed dates for 2007 are:

Term 1 Holiday Program: 2nd - 4th April

Term 2 Holiday Program: 4th – 6th July (please note new dates)

Term 3 Holiday Program: 24th – 26th September

Term 4 Holiday Program: 19th – 21st December

Holiday program prices start from $40 per day.
